An extract from the book...
"From Baptism to Resurrection by El Davies"
Crucifixion day was indeed the worst day of my life. I couldn't bear the thought of Jesus hanging on that cross in agony.
He was innocent, He had done nothing wrong, yet He was put through a trial, beaten, flogged and made to carry His Cross to Golgotha.
So unfair, a total injustice. I know Jesus said it had to be this way...but I'm a mother, full of love for my son. No parent ever expects to see their child's death, let alone their horrendous Crucifixion! I love my son Jesus so very much, my heart is broken, I don't know how I will go on, but I have to for my other children.
I went to Jesus' Crucifixion, though it tore me apart! I couldn't let my son feel abandoned in His hour of death.
Those soldiers, how could they....ridiculing my son, taunting Him, and dividing up His clothes between them like vultures over a carcass! Then casting lots for His tunic like it was some sort of prize!
When they bickered with Pilate about his sign, I was so disgusted with them. Arguing about the sign Pilate put on Jesus Cross saying, "Jesus of Nazareth - King of the Jews," all these people turning on Jesus saying, "He's no king of mine!"
How can they be so vile, when all Jesus did was help, heal, and instruct people about God. He healed so many people, who are here now, and yet who call for His crucifixion.
At least Pilate stood his ground and refused to change the sign. After all the sign just declares who Jesus is...Jesus of Nazareth - King of the Jews!
I love you my son Jesus, you will always be in my heart!
